The cotton shirt that becomes softer with wear

Oxford cloth has more body than a fine poplin, which helps the shirt hold its shape while still softening through wear and washing. It is a forgiving everyday cloth rather than a precious one.

The button-down collar keeps its roll instead of flattening beneath a jumper or spreading open beneath a jacket. The fit is comfortable through the body rather than cut close.

Wear it buttoned beneath a knit for work, open over a t-shirt at the weekend or tucked with chinos when the day asks for something smarter. The plain colours and stripes all do the same job.
